Memorial announces The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses ®.
This international program was established in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, by members of his family. The care Patrick and his family received from nurses while he was ill inspired this unique means of thanking nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and patient families.
Nurses may be nominated by patients or their families who want to express their gratitude and to recognize them for the extraordinary skillful and compassionate care they gave. Award recipients receive an “Extraordinary Nurse” certificate, “A Healer’s Touch” sculpture, and a DAISY Award pin.
For more information on this award, call Rebecca Anderson at (228) 865-3364.
