Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Gulfport and the team at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport help patients return to our great community after a life-altering illness or injury, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, or complex orthopedic conditions. By leveraging the partners’ strengths and seamless transition, Encompass Health at Gulfport provides the best rehabilitative care for our patient in a hospital setting, located on the 4th floor of Memorial Gulfport’s East Tower.

Gulf Coast is a critical illness recovery hospital, treating chronically, critically ill patients who require an extended stay after being stabilized and transferred from the intensive care unit. Select operates its own facility on a floor it leases from us, a hospital within a hospital – located on Memorial Hospital at Gulfport’s third floor, C and D wings. This arrangement places patients in close proximity to ancillary services, tests and procedures required as part of their ongoing care. This 36-bed, all-private-room hospital offers critical care nursing and intensive respiratory and rehabilitation therapies. From liberating recovering COVID-19 patients on ventilators to managing complex wounds and chronic disease, Select Specialty Hospital – Gulf Coast will provide life-preserving care to the aging population and those recovering from traumatic injury and illness.
