CAD System

Computer Aided Detection (CAD) system is used on all 2D and 3D digital mammography systems to analyze images and guides a board certified radiologist to areas of concern on the image. This technology is expected to increase early-stage cancer detection and improve survival rates.

Bone Dexascan

Bone Dexascan can provide early diagnosis of osteoporosis or provide ongoing monitoring of it. The dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) uses two different X- ray beams to estimate bone density in your spine and hip. The amounts of each X-ray beam that are blocked by bone and soft tissue are compared to each other.

Bones with higher mineral density allow less of the X-ray beam to pass through them. DEXA is a fast and accurate method for measuring bone mineral density (BMD). DEXA uses low doses of radiation and can measure as little as 2% of bone loss per year.

Stereotactic Breast Biopsy

Stereotactic Breast Biopsy is a minimally invasive biopsy procedure that is used when small areas of suspicious tissue show up in a mammogram. The breast is positioned through an opening in a special table, and the tissue is compressed lightly to immobilize it, much like a mammogram. The table is connected to a computer that produces detailed X-ray images of the abnormality. The images guide the doctor in collecting tissue specimens with a thin needle. The physician may remove several tiny samples of breast tissue for biopsy. After the needle is taken out, a small bandage is placed on the skin.

Breast MRI

Breast MRI is offered using CADstream TM, a breast MRI software package that accompanies breast MRI scanning. By reducing processing and interpretation time, CADstreamTM allows radiologists to read breast MRIs more efficiently and consistently.

DIEP Reconstructive Surgery

DIEP Reconstructive Surgery is a cutting-edge breast reconstruction procedure using a flap of complete tissue—blood vessels, skin and fat—from your lower abdomen.

Our skilled and knowledgeable providers will provide the best comprehensive care and keep you informed every step of the way. You are in good hands with Memorial.
