Elementary Students Sell Baked Goods to Buy Toys for Pediatric Patients
January 19, 2010 GULFPORT, Miss. – The sale of sweet treats will help to ease the stay for children in the Pediatric Unit at Memorial. Students in Stefanie Bridges’ third grade class at Reeves Elementary in Long Beach recently held a bake sale to raise money to purchase toys, which they donated to the Pediatric Unit at Memorial Hospital. The bake sale made over $200 to purchase toys and movies. The students were overcome with joy knowing that all of the things they donated would lift the spirits of the sick children
