About Heart Failure
Heart failure happens when the weakened heart muscle cannot pump enough blood to meet the body’s needs. The leading causes of heart failure are diseases that damage the heart like coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Heart failure is very common, and the treatment depends on the cause.
Heart Failure Treatment Options
We have treatment options like medication, stents, and bypass surgery. For patients who are candidates, we can implant a special kind of pacemaker that can make a dramatic improvement in a patient’s heart failure and help them possibly avoid a heart transplant.
