Memorial Will Not Administer COVID-19 Vaccinations Week of January 11

Memorial Hospital has not been provided additional allotments of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine from the Mississippi State Department of Health for the week of January 11, 2021. Instead, eligible populations from phases 1a and 1b are encouraged to sign up for an appointment through the Mississippi State Department of Health website here: https://msdh.ms.gov/msdhsite/_static/14,22816,420,976.html.

Memorial Hospital distributed its allotment of COVID-19 vaccinations and does not have additional supplies to distribute at this time. Memorial will continue to communicate through its social media channels and website when new doses are received. Currently, an updated timeline of when that may occur is not available.

Eligible recipients must meet the following criteria to receive the vaccine through the Mississippi State Department of Health at this time:

Persons aged 65 years and older 

Anyone 16 to 64 years old with a chronic health condition that may put them at higher risk from COVID-19. (18 or older at Mississippi State Department of Health drive-through sites.) Healthcare personnel: emergency medical service personnel, nurses and nursing assistants, physicians, technicians, therapists, dentists, dental hygienists and assistants, phlebotomists, pharmacists, students and trainees, contractual staff, dietary and food services staff, environmental services staff, and administrative staff.
