Will Rogers Institute Donates $41,225 to Memorial Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
October 20, 2014 GULFPORT, Miss.— On Friday, September 19, 2014, The Will Rogers Institute presented a check for $41,225 to the Memorial Hospital Foundation. The funds were awarded as a grant and will be used to purchase a cutting edge Bunnell Life Pulse High Frequency Jet Ventilator for Memorial Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Jet ventilator is a unique style of ventilation that cannot be replicated by any other machine. Some infants have severe lung disease with either cysts, or emphysema like changes, or air leaks that don’t respond to other strategies that get can be saved by this type of ventilation.
