Memorial Surgeons Perform More Than 1,000 Robotic Assisted Surgeries
September 17, 2014 GULFPORT, Miss. — Memorial has achieved another milestone! Our surgeons have performed over 1,000 cases using the da Vinci® Si HD robotic assisted surgery system since the surgical option was introduced at Memorial in April 2010. These cases have included single incision laparoscopic surgery; hysterectomy; pediatric pyloplasty; total or partial removal of the prostate, bladder, or kidney; kidney reconstruction; and removal of the gallbladder, spleen, and colon.
