Neonatal Developmental Follow-Up Clinic
Neonatal Developmental Follow-Up Program
This program is offered at Memorial for the many premature infants requiring close follow-up after discharge. A nurse, physical therapist, and a neonatologist see the infant. Complex medical conditions are reviewed, and developmental milestones are noted.
The clinic follows the high-risk neonatal patient from birth to age two and is available with physician referral for the patient with developmental delays, growth delays or those who may have experienced problems due to prematurity, or other problems.
Our developmental service provides a program of diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive treatment for children with developmental disabilities. Our team evaluates infants and children at high risk for developmental delays. The service is designed to augment the care provided by the infant’s pediatrician.
