Robert J. Sawyer Appointed to Memorial Health System Board of Trustees

GULFPORT, Miss. – March 28, 2022 – Robert J. Sawyer was appointed by the City of Gulfport to serve on the Memorial Health System Board of Trustees effective February 7, 2022, replacing former board member Claire Tindell.

Sawyer is a financial advisor and the owner of Trinity Investment Services, LLC, and has been in practice for more than 35 years. He received his Bachelor’s in Public Administration from the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

Sawyer has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Mississippi Public Broadcasting for 12 years. He currently volunteers in the Memorial Health System Emergency Department through Memorial Auxiliary. He is an active member of St. John Catholic Church and a resident of Gulfport.

Memorial is a not-for-profit medical complex jointly owned by the City of Gulfport and Harrison County. The Board of Trustees is composed of seven (7) Trustees, three (3) of which are named by the City of Gulfport; three (3) by the Board of Supervisors of Harrison County, Mississippi; and one (1) named jointly by Harrison County and the City of Gulfport.
