Memorial Announces October 2024 STAR Award Recipients
GULFPORT, Miss. – October 28, 2024 – Memorial Health System has named the recipients of the STAR Awards, Memorial’s highest honor. STAR stands for Service, Teamwork, Attitude, and Respect, recognizing outstanding customer service.
The following team members were honored for this achievement:

- Tracy Harms, Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care
- Esper “Nora” Johnson, Pharmacy Technician-Certified, Pharmacy
- Kelly Myrick, Applications Analyst, I/S Revenue Cycle Applications
- Jacqueline Neal, Nurse Practitioner, Cardiology Physicians

Laura has been with Memorial since 2014. She exemplifies the STAR level of Service by going the extra mile. Laura never fails to be patient, kind, helpful, and welcoming.
Colleen has been a dedicated employee at Memorial since 2015. Her top priority is giving each person she talks to the best customer service possible. Her work is appreciated by everyone in the HIM Coding Department.
Katreia has been part of the Memorial team since 2017. She gives great customer service to coworkers, current employees, and potential job candidates. She supports the recruitment team and other leaders with her many skills linked to roles other than her own.
Meghan has been with Memorial since 2019. She is an exceptional nurse, both to her patients and to her colleagues. Meghan exemplifies what it means to be a team player. When someone needs assistance, she is always the first to provide it.
Chicyoko has been a dedicated employee of Memorial since 2019. She exemplifies STAR qualities by always going the extra mile to help residents and staff. She is proud of the care and service she provides to our residents.
Since 2013, Tracy has been a devoted team member at Memorial. In whatever situation, Tracy gives it her all. Her passion for providing care and her readiness to assist those who are unable to assist themselves are examples of her commitment to her work.
Nora, a Memorial team member since 2023, exemplifies the STAR characteristic of Team. She always takes a team-first approach to the day. She will undoubtedly be a part of the solution, working to ensure that the problem does not arise again.
Kelly has been part of the Memorial team since 2022. She exemplifies the STAR quality of Attitude by demonstrating the most admirable personality. It is common for co-workers and customers to comment on how helpful and nice she was to them.
Jacqueline has been employed with Memorial since 2021. She exemplifies the STAR quality of Service by going above and beyond to assist every patient that comes into contact with her, even if it is not her own patient.
Peggy has been a dedicated Memorial team member since 2008. Peggy consistently strives to enhance work processes and maintains a positive outlook, all while overseeing two divisions. She is consistently prepared to dig in and ensure that our staff is properly trained and that any issues are resolved.
Suzanne has been a dedicated employee since 2015. Suzanne embodies each of the STAR qualities daily. She is compassionate, eager to assist, and uses her humor to keep patients and coworkers happy and laughing.
Since 2015, Thu has been a dedicated employee of Memorial. She is incredibly compassionate and thorough, and she goes above and beyond for patients and coworkers. Thu exudes teamwork in her thoughts and actions.
