Memorial Health System Opens Urgent Care Clinic in Gulfport

Gulfport, Mississippi — October 22, 2024 In addition to the 12 Memorial Walk-In Clinics along the Coast that care for patients with minor injuries or illnesses, Memorial Health System has opened an urgent care clinic in Gulfport, conveniently located near its main hospital at 1104 Broad Avenue.

The clinic will continue to serve individuals who do not have life-threatening issues, including pediatric patients of all ages. The goal of this location is to offer faster care to patients with minor illnesses and injuries and bypass the need for patients to visit the Memorial Emergency Department. The urgent care clinic will be open seven days a week including Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. No appointment is needed.

This location will provide professional, high-quality healthcare for those who are seeking quick access to medical help. These clinics are an affordable alternative to the Emergency Department, providing a wide variety of medical services and treating numerous urgent, non-emergency health conditions such as:

  • Fever
  • Ear infections
  • Colds & flu
  • Rashes & burns
  • Insect bites
  • Sore throats
  • Digestive discomfort
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Sprains/strains
  • Other minor conditions

If someone is experiencing life-threatening conditions such as chest pain, stroke symptoms, a head injury, severe bleeding, abdominal bleeding, loss of consciousness, difficulty breathing, lacerations, cuts and puncture wounds, or trauma including broken bones, they need to visit the Emergency Department immediately.
