Memorial to Offer Free Health Screenings at 2024 Community Expo

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a free Community Resource Expo will be held on Saturday, January 13, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Orange Grove Community Center (14416 Dedeaux Road, Gulfport).

Memorial will be offering free blood pressure and glucose checks as well as stroke, diabetes and BMI assessments.

The event features youth activities, food, giveaways, and workshops hosted by experts in the areas of workforce development, becoming credit savvy, expungement, and home ownership. In addition, the following will be offered while supplies last: 

• Door prizes every half hour
• Free t-shirts for the first 100 adults that completes a visit with one of the experts
• Free children’s books
• Free hot dogs
• Free COVID-19 home testing kits
• Free bike helmets for children

This free event is open to the public. Registration is encouraged but not required.
