Celebrating Women’s History Month – Christy Nelson
Memorial is celebrating Women’s History Month by spotlighting members of our team who are committed to improving the health and wellness of our community. These women were nominated by their peers.
We hope you enjoy learning about the inspiring women who work to transform the lives of our community!
Christy has been a Memorial team member for more than three years, and she is currently an Office Manager for our Family Practice Physicians.
Her nominator wrote, “Christy is a great example of leadership. She believes in her team and lets it be known. Her willingness to listen and engage with her coworkers is reassuring. You never feel undervalued when she is around. She works diligently to ensure patients receive the best standard of care at Memorial.”
Providing excellent customer service
Christy shares, “My day consists of making sure our patients are well taken care of and treated with the utmost respect. It is my responsibility, as a leader, to ensure we all work together as a team and create the best workflow possible. I love working with the public and interacting with our patients daily. Customer service excellence means so much to me, so I strive to be a good example for my staff to follow, as well.”
Inspired by other strong women
“I am so proud of all the women who have joined the workforce. So many hardworking women have been and continue to be such great mentors and role models,” Christy shares. When asked about an inspiring woman in her life, she adds, “My inspiration to excel in the workplace comes from my mother. My mom was one of the hardest-working and most dedicated people I have ever known. She was a prime example of how to balance work and family.”
No limits to success
Christy shares, “Women are hardworking and strive to do their best while balancing work and family,” when asked about what she wishes more people knew about women in the workplace. She adds, “There are no limits on how far you can excel in the workplace.”
Congratulations on your nomination, Christy, and thank you for your dedication to our community!
