Memorial develops clinical pharmacists through residency program
Memorial is excited to offer a Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program to provide a comprehensive training along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Two residents are selected each year for the residency program, and the mission of the program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists. The residents work with our seasoned pharmacists in the program and are responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
Program Director Jon Arnold says, “Our dedicated staff and faculty are committed to the residents’ success, providing flexibility and the opportunity to tailor experiences to fit their needs. Our residents complete our program as highly competitive candidates ready to excel in the area of their choice.”
