Memorial Physician Clinics welcomes Samantha McGill, Nurse Practitioner

GULFPORT, Miss. — Memorial welcomes Samantha McGill, FNP-BC, BC-ADM, at Memorial Physician Clinics, Internal Medicine, 835 Thames Ave., Bay St. Louis and 4300 Leisure Time Drive, Diamondhead.

McGill treats juvenile diabetes patients. Juvenile diabetes, also known as type 1 diabetes, is most often diagnosed in children and young adults whose bodies do not make insulin. Symptoms of type 1 diabetes include: frequent urination, extreme thirst, hunger (even though they are eating), fatigue, blurred vision, slow healing of cuts and bruises, and weight loss. In addition to treating children and adolescents, McGill also has extensive experience treating adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

McGill received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specializing in diabetes at The Diabetes Center in Ocean Springs since 2013.
