Memorial Hospital Names Scott Breunig, MD as Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer
GULFPORT, Miss. — Memorial Hospital named Dr. Scott Breunig as Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), effective Jan. 1, 2019. He recently served as Interim Chief Medical Information Officer at Philadelphia Academic Health System; and as Chief Medical Officer and Sr. Director at Cerner Corporation.
Dr. Breunig is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Breunig is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Breunig works closely with both administrative staff and members of the medical staff to maintain high quality medical care and promote medical staff participation in furthering the mission of Memorial.
