Memorial celebrates by collecting food, money for Feeding the Gulf Coast
GULFPORT, Miss.— A week of celebration for Memorial Hospital & Physician Clinics will also help feed needy Coast families. As part of National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week celebrations, Memorial hosted a food drive for Feeding the Gulf Coast, which services soup kitchens and food pantries across the Gulf Coast region. Memorial staff collected more than 1,400 pounds of non-perishable food items and $1,470 in monetary donations.
This year, National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week were recognized from May 6 to 12. These observances are an opportunity for Memorial to show its appreciation to employees, volunteers, medical staff and contract staff for their hard work in building a healthier community.
