Pass Christian Middle School Receives a New AED

April 23, 2014 GULFPORT, Miss. — The Kiwanis Clubs of Division 14, an anonymous donor with Gulf Coast Community Foundation, and Memorial Hospital Foundation purchased and delivered a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to Pass Christian Middle School on April 10. AEDs are used to restore the normal rhythm during cases of life threatening cardiac arrest. In 2008, the Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee District of Kiwanis International began purchasing AEDs for schools in the three state districts. Since the inception of this program, 32 AEDs have been purchased by local Kiwanis Clubs for schools on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
