Mississippi Paralysis Association donates to Memorial ThinkFirst Program

For Immediate Release September 13, 2013

GULFPORT, Miss. — The Mississippi Paralysis Association recently donated $30,400 to the Memorial Hospital Foundation to support its ThinkFirst Program. This program teaches school-aged children the importance of brain and spinal cord injury prevention. Memorial Neurosciences & Rehabilitation will deliver this program to approximately 6,200 school-aged children in eight schools located in Harrison, and Madison Counties during the 2013-14 school year.

Since 2007, The Mississippi Paralysis Association has donated over $209,000 to the Memorial Hospital Foundation and has provided helmets to over 8,000 school-aged children across the State of Mississippi.
